The perpetual routine of walking to school each day has become a ritualistic practice. Each day, I am brought closer to an automated state of being that strives for the weekend to come in order for my mind to return to its normal liveliness. The habitual school schedule eats away at my ability to walk a different path and experience something new.  With technology wrapped around every aspect of my life, unwinding becomes nearly impossible and I remain stuck on the mobile strip.

Through fashion, I am able to change up aspects of this routine with different styles and looks that bring some joy to my humdrum schedule. A countdown runs through my head of when i’ll get to share time with friends and let my mind relax. Without falter, Monday begins again and the mundane path to school is intertwined with texts and calls, reminding me that the weekend is far away.

For this project, I used a canon SLR camera to shoot all my video shots and a zoom h4n handy recorder to capture all my audio. I then edited my footage and audio using the iMovie software. When the project was complete, I exported the video to QuickTime.
