“How to Wake Up?”

I wanted to capture that feeling--that drag--on your being when you’ve been torn from bed and things start to take shape in a wordless malaise. At times, it can be hard to shake that feeling of barely maintaining contained, cool composure. Keeping a head above the over stimulated external takes a toll. These are the sentiments that sparked this exploration of sound - must keep up the fight against the rumble of daily malaise.
I used found sounds from around my apartment: sounds of droning bathroom fans, incessant water pipe clicking and sounds of cars outside. I then used a SP-404 to slightly distort and obscure the reality of these noises.
