“My Everyday”

For my Everyday project I chose to highlight my morning because it is the only routine in my day—structured by my 9 year old dog, Bru who keeps me on schedule. I made the process of making coffee prominent in this video because it is something that I do all day long. I recorded alarms, car engines, camera shutters, water running, writing, typing (on both a computer and a cell phone), coffee grinding, and even myself snoring waiting for my coffee to be ready. I chose sounds that describe my everyday, sounds that I hear everyday of my life.

This project was very eye opening for me, as I am constantly trying to deviate from any kind of routine I may be forced into. However, with this project, I was essentially forced to display my routine—which turned out to be the best routine I could have hoped for.
