“Finding Rhythms in Everyday Life: Farmers’ Market and Post Office
Steps”
2014
4:20
In the hustle and bustle of
everyday life, we forget to listen. The sounds of Boulder’s Farmers Market are
distinctive enough you sense where you are even if you’re not seeing the usual
view. Likewise the in and out flow of traffic at the downtown Boulder post
office on a windy day creates a distinctive soundscape. The focus on feet in
both videos is a way of giving the viewer a new perspective on a familiar
place. The shadows on the post office wall add a different sense of the people
who are coming and going.
